Student Bursaries to attend 7th Canadian Plant Genomics Workshop

We will be awarding at least 10 student bursaries to assist with expenses related to attending the 7th CPGW.  The bursary will cover the registration cost for the student, and for those students travelling to the workshop from outside Saskatchewan will provide $500 towards their travel expenses.

To apply for the bursary, in addition to writing an abstract according to the information supplied on the workshop website, the graduate student should write a short description (one-page maximum) of their current research, indicating the importance of genomics technologies to their goals and the relevance of their research to agriculture/forestry and/or to furthering our knowledge of plant processes.  This document along with the abstract should be sent to cpgw2009@nrc-cnrc.gc.ca by June 26th with ‘student bursary’ indicated in the subject line. To be eligible for the award the student must be registered in a graduate program. Preference will be given to students registered at a Canadian University.

The successful students will be contacted by July 15th.
